Frequently Asked Questions

What do you specialize in?

Beginner to intermediate tennis lessons for players 3 and up. We bring the sport of tennis to kids through after school programs, supplemental gym class, rec center programs, preschool enrichment, PTA events, group and private lessons, and camps!

Our programs are designed to elevate the game of tennis for kids in the community at all levels using our Skill Progression Pathway.  Our program follows a structured skill progression pathway that allows children to gradually advance from basic strokes to more complex techniques. Whether they’re learning to serve, rally, or compete, we provide the guidance and support needed for continuous improvement.

Where can I find your Program?

You can find us at a court near you by checking out the LESSONS Tab or use the CONTACT page to reach out for additional community events.

How can a group or organization book lessons?

Use the CONTACT page to reach out to our certified instructor about group rates and availability.

Do I need my own equipment?

We strive to provide all equipment for our players from rackets, to nets, balls, and agility equipment as needed. Players are encouraged to bring their own racket if they have one.

How can you teach tennis to young kids off the courts?

We bring portable nets that can be set up in a gym space or open outdoor space. Young kids excel on an appropriate sized court. This means many kids 10 and under learn to play tennis best on a smaller court. We use modified equipment such as smaller racquets, softer balls, and lower nets to ensure success and safety for young children. This allows our youngest players to experience early success and enjoyment while learning the basics of tennis. As they grow and their skills improve they will be ready for a larger court and faster moving ball.

All equipment is brought onsite for lessons. Our goal is to meet kids where it’s convenient to give them the opportunity to play tennis!

How does fundraising with Over the Net work?

Our partnership program allows kids to engage in tennis lessons while raising money for their school. At Over the Net we want to give every child an opportunity to play tennis. We believe a strong tennis community builds better players so we are committed to giving back!

By participating in our Ace for a Cause fundraising program, members of your school community can come together to support a common goal while promoting physical activity, teamwork, and community spirit. Let’s rally together to make a difference both on and off the court!

We work to coordinate after school programs and evening programs at your school/location. Our portable tennis program allows any open space to be transformed into a tennis court and all other equipment is provided.

Registration fees include class fees and all equipment for students while your organization receives up to 30% back.
